February is a relatively quiet month. As the outside temperature and daylight increase, we gain momentum to shake off winter and get ready for spring.

We had a stretch of good weather in early February and Kent caught a king salmon for supper!

We have seen several representatives of the larger bird species, such as bald eagles, ravens, harlequin and goldeneye ducks, and a loon, but few songbirds.
