June 2009
King salmon fishing is on and off, but better than May! Cohos, chums and pinks are already showing up!
Curiously, we are seeing more Minke and gray whales than humpback whales.
No one knows where the sand lance were last summer, but they have reappeared. This is a big relief for those at the top of the food chain.
The ocean has been very cooperative and precipitation has been light. So far, this summer looks to be an enjoyable and relaxing one!
